Welcome to the Journey of Empowered Aging!
And while we think of other phases of life as having a particular purpose – childhood is about growing and learning; adulthood is about procreating and producing – we have not defined old age as clearly.
“Age is something that doesn’t matter — unless you’re a cheese.”

Aging comes in all flavors and colors, shapes and sizes and genders.
But think about it. It’s not unrealistic anymore to expect to live for decades after age 65.
The question is what to do with all those years. We need to look afresh at this prospect of a longer life and ask ourselves, “what’s the best use of this extra gift of time?”
We are entering new territory. More and more people will live in better health after they retire, if they retire. What will they do, what will they become? And how will that in turn alter the course of human history?
We have no shared collective articulation for what later life is for, what the value of living longer is, except not dying.
So this is a conversation that begins with the question: Aging is beyond our control, granted, but can we influence, even control how we age?
We aim to find out.
